If we keep winning, we are really losing. Since we have no chance at winning anything except a protected draft pick. I for one wouldn't mind another losing streak. At in losing we may win an early draft protected pick next year.

Who knows come June we may even have a prospect in the top 50 to 100 prospects. We have none now in the top 200 or worse.

Scouting and smart trading find top players, not losses that promise a pick 5 or 10 notches higher. The Angels lucked into Trout when nearly two dozen other teams found other players to fit their needs in that draft. I suspect many of those picked before Trout wound up washing out. Others are pretty darn good.

So let's get a win, Angels. And I was rushing through my post and got the winning streak wrong. I should have said: 
"Stretch the winning streak to SIX games."

I'm not saying lose on purpose but I won't be upset if we get a protected pick at the same time. Of course good scouting is important, but it doesn't matter if your players are gone before your pick. Like Harper, Posey, Price, Correa,...
