I guessed the one sitting at the far left, looks familiar.   Ty Cobb came to mind.

Yep, it's Cobb.

Royston Reds Baseball Club in Royston, Georgia...undated, but probably 1899. He played shortstop.

That puts Cobb at about 12 in that picture, by far the youngest in the picture.

Who's the pitcher seen here celebrating his 18th birthday? He struck out Willie Mays that day in his major league debut.

The man looking over his left shoulder looks like he'd rather be anywhere than watching this punk kid blow out birthday candles.  Hell, he'd even rather be at a MLK rally.

Yep, it's Dierker.

The man looking over his shoulder is Don Larsen.

Good trivia question, Dierker was a can't miss who had some success up to age 25, and then eventually retired when only age 30.

He was signed the year before the Rule 4 draft was instituted in 1965, and his MLB debut was one of their last games as the Colt 45s.

Larsen certainly got around as a pitcher. Seven different teams in a 14-year career.
