There hasn't been many trying the stem cell approach. I only know of 3 players who have gone that route, one is pitching, one is getting ready to pitch, and one went with Tommy John anyway.

Bedrosian becomes the ' go to' guy after several stints with the Angels and some real problematic years......

good to see he's stuck with it and the Angels with him........with out of contention season (ignore Sosh's rants on the subject) 7-8 weeks of games........good time to test Bedrock in the closing role - and , yeah, he's going to lose some games -- but the experience will be good and it's not like we're doing much else the rest of 2016.

So Bedrosian falls five short of the Angels record for most consecutive scoreless appearances. He had 25, only K-Rod, Frieri, Downs and Donnelly have ever had longer streaks of scoreless stretches for the Angels. It was also the fourth longest streak in the majors this year.

In other words, he was due for a shitty one.
