Yeah this all went like a script. Great way to declare a state of emergency like the one Syria was under since 1963.

Very true. I think its because turkey has a lot of leverage right now though. On the one hand, if they were to leave nato, that leaves them in a worse spot with the russians (and other problems). But lets say they go their own way. They back off even more on border control, allow more refugees to flood west, we lose our airfields in the country, etc.

Its a mess all around. Wish i could have seen instanbul before it got like this :/
