Wife of Nation's Lowest-Paid Governor Takes Waitressing Job

It's political, so I'll put it in this forum.  Although it's a pretty good story.

A high school friend who now lives in Maine posted this on Facebook.

They live in the Governor's Mansion, which means that they have no living expenses. Housing, food, utilities, maintenance, all paid for. Meals prepared, clothing washed, ironed and put away. Linen service. All cleaning done for them. Free transportation and a 24-hour security detail. I would love to have that plus a $70K salary.

This seems like grandstanding of the highest order. The attached article states that the incumbent was unsuccessful in getting the salary for the office more than doubled. My reaction to this is much like my reaction to former Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons saying that he was "sharing in the sacrifice" when we all took salary cuts while the economy was in the dumper.

Isn't AJ's brother's vegan cafe in Maine? Maybe she can get a job grinding fair trade coffee beans there?

I'd give props if she bit the bullet and became a stripper or did porn to help pay the bills. Being a waitress just means she is going to open a Facebook account and complain about how much her job sucks, how people suck at tipping, and post pics of people's receipts on Instagram before she's fired.

Fortunately she is going to be working in Maine so there won't be too many black people tips to complain about.

Bill has been lobbying hard ever since he saw Hef's place go on the market.  He needs Hillary to get in there and get this done for him.  Bill's bucket list would be complete.
