anyone know anything about photo scanners?

I need to scan a bunch of old pics for my Dads funeral. I grabbed an epson one, one of the standard flat ones. Havent opened it yet

Theres a more expensive one that scans like 30 pics in 5 seconds, like one of those cash counting machines. But i dont know how good the quality is

Theoretically everywhere. You only need them in places where someone might ask for one, so generally public lands with great views. A lot of pros who use the beaches will carry them for this reason.

I would just look at the depth at which they scan the images... something like Pixels Per Inch
