Somebody remind me why Cron is still on this team? Streaky, hands of stone...somebody somewhere thinks he's going to put it all together I suppose and be the answer to the $250 million man at 1st base?

He's emblematic of he non-injury problems with this team. Too much patience for someone that might never really happen. Over value-ing what the team has while not placing enough value on some of the pieces that used to be in the farm.

I would def use this shite season (yes, it's still kinda early, but I'm going to go ahead and say the Angels aren't appearing in the World Series this season) to start getting something -- ANYTHING! -- for the Cron's, and similar scraps in AAA.

He's the 2016 Brandon Wood. He sucks. He should have been gone a year ago. I truly believe I could hit a badeball better than hom. I think Mathis passed Scioscia's nudie photos on to him.

I went to a Pony League ballgame a couple nights ago. Much more fun than watching this team (minus Trout, of course).

You realize that Brandon Wood was one of the worst offensive players that the MLB has ever seen, right?  Cron may struggle at times with streaks but Wood was incomparable.

Cron isn't the problem. He's one of the players that's actually hitting the ball.

Respectfully, Cron is the problem. The team settles for players like this and considers it 'okay' to wait and see what he will do. I'd give a pass to this season due to the injuries and pujols' inability to play defense on a daily basis. 

But cron has been around for a while now and he's shown the team that he's the best Cron he can be.  

I'm somewhat hopeful that Eppler has made some moves in rapid succession, although his hand was forced due to injuries.

Of course, I'm not picking on Cron only. We've got Giovotella, who I like, but how good is he projecting to be? We've had a number of hangers-on in recent memory who the Angels give a pass to for reasons which seem to range from they're one tool experts or a player has shown possibilities year after year  

Obviously this all points back to the shambles of a farm system which will take years to rebuild. However, part of putting the farm system back together is demanding a higher expectation at the major league level which the Angels haven't necessarily shown an urgency for.
