The Secret Service pretty much hates Hillary

Recommended Posts

http://nypost.com/2015/10/02/secret-service-agents-hillary-is-a-nightmare-to-work-with/

It's the NY Post, yeah, but there are quotes from several different people here that say she is a raging bitch.

I'm continually baffled that people vote for this woman. Some bits:

  •  “Hillary was very rude to agents, and she didn’t appear to like law enforcement or the military,” former Secret Service agent Lloyd Bulman recalls. “She wouldn’t go over and meet military people or police officers, as most protectees do. She was just really rude to almost everybody. She’d act like she didn’t want you around, like you were beneath her.”

“When in public, Hillary smiles and acts graciously,” Kessler explains. “As soon as the cameras are gone, her angry personality, nastiness, and imperiousness become evident.”

Not sure if i ever told this story on here or not. Years ago a guy at work went to a fundraiser for her. His brother was somehow connected to the democrats, and called my buddy last second and said i can get you in, but you have to be in DC in 24 hours or whatever.

Anyway, he gets to this event with political big wigs in tuxedos, and hes dressed in his shitty cop carbon copy court suit. So hes totally out of place, ends up just kind of hanging around the secret service guys because they were the only ones he could kind of talk to.

They told him they hate her, and couldnt stand al gore. I guess he was exactly how this article says she is.

The flip side is he said bill clinton was cool as hell (this guys a staunch republican). Bill was there trying to get hillary votes or money (maybe both).  The secret service guys said the love bill, hes real down to earth.

So bill comes up to my buddy, shot the shit with him for 10 minutes, left to work the crowd some more, then found my buddy a few hours later and sat and had a beer with him.  Always thought that was a cool story.

Getting hookers and blow was probably something cool Bill did

if we voted based on the character of the person running we would just end up with GWB over and over again.

Most people vote based on policy.

What the hell is your point? I don't see anyone saying vote for the nicest person, period.

When the agency responsible for protecting you and being around you all the time says you're a shitty person are you saying that means nothing to you? You're not worried about the possibility of that person being the leader of the country?

Lets put it this way.  You don't like Bernie because he is an angry old jew.  You like him because he says he is going to give you free stuff.

Nobody cares if Hillary is a **** to the Secret Service.  They just care that she doesn't want to bankrupt America.

Actually, Hitler was much more similar to Bernie than he was to Hillary.  He promised a bunch of free shit and taking back the country from evil politicians.  It was after he got into power that he decided to use the Jews as a reason for all the problems.

The more I read angry Bernsters the more it pushes me to cast my ballot for Clinton come June. I have no issues voting for her in November but I was considering voting for Benire in June (as long as he didn't have a chance to actually win the nomination).

But I'm finding that Sander's voters just don't get it. This idea that Clinton is somehow no different than voting for a Republican...or Trump. It is completely mind numbing and shows no understanding of the actual positions of the candidates. Economically she is more moderate, absolutely...but to think her views on policing Wall St. is no different than the Donald is asanine...health care, the climate and environment, women's health, social security, supreme court...the differences are staggering.

It's hyperbole but there is some truth in it. As the right continues it sprint away from the center there is truth to the claims that it continues to drag the Democratic party along with them as the look to fill the vacuum. It's hard to recognize the party from what it was 20 to 30 years ago. The 1992 Hillary is nothing like the 2016 version. Well in retrospection I guess she changes her persona weekly but I digress. It wouldn't be hard to empathize with those on the moderate left and beyond who feel utterly abandoned by the party. And in the distance Trump and H. Clinton would appear similar from their perspective.

From an economic standpoint I would agree that the Democratic party is more conservative than it was in the past (socialist hand wringing not withstanding)...but even in that arena there are significant differences between the two parties. One group is actively trying to privatize social security...one group is actively trying to institute the worst idea in modern politics...the balanced budget amendment...one group is actively trying to re-architect the tax code to give more money to the top 1%.

And that doesn't even begin to touch on social issues, healthcare, environment etc. As someone who falls pretty far left on the political spectrum...I'm well aware that Obama and Clinton are centrists....but if someone on the far to moderate left is actually paying attention there is absolutely no way they could look at the positions of the Republican Party and Donald Trump...compare them to Clinton's and think...there is no difference between the two.

I think there is a great deal of mistrust from many in your region of the political spectrum and the Hillary. Those who are liberal and in a minority in general are much more pragmatic and are similar to you in this regard. They see Hillary as a continuation of Obama's policies and are okay with that, especially considering the alternatives. Bernie Bros/Anyone young enough not to remember the 1970s and liberal are being much more idealistic. They see the AHCA as a betrayal of those ideals. An embrace of a Republican plan and a boon to the health insurance industry. They see the utter inaction of the current administration in the fallout of the 2009 financial boondoggle in regards to those deemed criminally responsible by some. They have never lived in a US where abortion was blatantly illegal.  They are numbed to the continued and seemingly inevitable military involvement around the world regardless of who occupies 1600 Pennsylvania avenue. There is little optimism regarding the  safeguarding of the environment They aren't 100% right by any means. But they aren't 100% wrong either.

I can see that point when viewed through that prism, and I would hope most of them pay close attention the next few months...though I think a lot of the distrust of Hillary is based on the constant messaging that she is untrustworthy. There is a whole news channel dedicated to that messaging. That's not to say the Clinton's tend to be tone deaf and make some stupid decisions. If you know you are being watched like a hawk and everything you do is being spun...stop toeing the fucking line or doing things that can be spun (e.g. mail server...wall st. speeches).
