Great play, Howie

He's been the best player on the team so far this year.

2013 has been an interesting year. I would've laughed out loud had someone told me we'd trade Vernon Wells only for him to play up to his paygrade again, Howie Kendrick would be the most clutch player on the Angels, and Peter Bourjos would lead the team in average and OPS.

He's been one of them. PB has been pretty good as well, and so has Trumbo. That was the best play I have seen Howie make, any Angel infielder make, in a long time. Lucho made a great dive and grab to the third base line the other night and gunned out the runner, but this play by Howie - and the one where he received the feed from Pujols, were fantastic!

That was absolutely a fabulous play, and a difference maker. Also, his play earlier on Pujols' feed was an excellent play. Props to Albert as well on that first base play with Howie. That last gem of Howie's will be top 10 for the season, or should be in all of baseball. Hank deserves some recognition as well, that was not easy to pick that at home plate while blocking off the runner and sweeping the tag. Lucho also made a great play a couple of nights ago when he dove and stabbed a grounder up the third base line and fired a long range rocket to first base to nab the runner. These are the glimmers of what can be for this team, plays like this. Hopefully we can get it going. PB is looking good, Trout is starting to get on base regularly, and Trumbo continues to hit well. Good night of baseball for us.
