Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports that the Angels will attend Tim Lincecum's showcase on Friday in Arizona.

The Angels are expected to be one of around 20 teams in attendance. It's worth a shot to at least take a look, as the club could use the rotation depth. C.J. Wilson (shoulder), Tyler Skaggs (elbow, shoulder), and Andrew Heaney (forearm) are all on the disabled list while Matt Shoemaker was recently demoted after posting a 9.15 ERA over five starts.

bummer for him he didn't sign the monster contract and went with those one-year deals.

Pitching should have been this teams number one priority, in the off-season. Jordan Zimmermann would have looked good in an Angels uni.

Lincecum passes the "not being Matt Shoemaker" test, so he is likely better than our fifth starter alternatives.
