Probably my least favorite angels team of at least the past decade. Starting pitching is too injured to be effective consistently; bullpen is ****ing terrible; offense is even worse; minor leagues offer nothing. We are quickly becoming the Phillies. But hey, we have mike trout at least.

That's an insult to the Phillies, who at least have some good, healthy starters, a good farm system and a winning record.

Lost in Shoe's performance is the continuing disaster that is the Halo offense....12th in AL in runs scored....

 

Yeah but that's not really surprising. Lineup is filled with replacement type hitters...probably 2/3 of their lineup could be considered completely replacement level tbh

Will the Angels consider batting Calhoun after Trout instead of Albert? I think Albert will get better but he needs to bat with men on base, and a single or sac fly will help. It seems like after Trout it's a home run or DP or strikeout. I want the Angels to score before Albert is up.

It's sad how badly Pujols fizzled out. Did not think David Ortiz would be the one to finish out his career while still playing at the top of his game. Pujols had the much better peak but Ortiz has had the longevity

Maybe in 2022. Of course, none of them will be Angels at that point, but that's when it would happen...after Pujols' retirement.

​Well, my fantasy team could sure use a couple of meaningless late home runs from Trout and Calhoun. Solo or men aboard -- little difference in fantasy. They could also prevent the Halos from being skunked, which it now looks like they will be.
