I did Google it. Never saw anywhere where it is a precursor to TJS.

People get it to avoid TJS.  If it doesn't work, TJS is not uncommon.

I think Tanaka had PRP injections last year and he avoided TJS, at least so far.

 

But yeah, this sucks. All of a sudden the Angels need Weaver to be decent and might be looking at Smith or Kendrick as their fifth starter.

People get it to avoid TJS. If it doesn't work, TJS is not uncommon.

Tanaka has also had to alter his approach and hasn't been quite as effective.

This stinks.  Richards, Santiago, Heaney, Skaggs, and Tropeano could be a good rotation.  They need a good rotation.  The offense isn't good.

Even if the starting pitching was healthy, the team still would miss the playoffs. The offense is incredibly inept and the bullpen is bad as well. Thankfully, the minors offers a lot. Oh wait..... This is going to be a long few years. Hopefully we sell at the deadline.
