Kuwait to test tourists' DNA before letting them into the country

Recommended Posts

I think this might be something that becomes more widely adopted.  It's the natural progression of things.

Before it was a picture.  Then it evolved to a fingerprint.  Now it's DNA.

Benefit is, it's starting with a small country.  As long as corruption isn't there, it should lead to less crimes.

And as far as even doing this for tourists.  Entering countries, if done legally, isn't the easiest thing in the first place.  You have to do your declarations depending on country of health, criminal record, and provide vaccination records.  This is going to take the criminal check one step further.

Again the success will depend on the corruption.

i've thought for a long time that the next step in the sequence after picture and fingerprint would be LE starting a DNA database.

i imagine there will be many people watching to see how things go in kuwait, and then using that as a basis for whether or not it needs tweaking before employing it in their own country. i imagine the US is somewhere near the top of that list.
