In non-baseball news ... Jose Canseco's daughter made playboy magazine. I would posts the pics but I don't know how. She's pretty hot!

btw Jose said he's a proud papa. Yes, he checked out the pics.

Texas will put Seattle in their place when it's all said and done.

Their lineup and rotation (especially if Darvish comes back anywhere close to normal) are probably good enough to get the job done, but they have some pretty serious bullpen issues.  Tolleson and Wilhelmson have been atrocious and who knows when Kela will get healthy. Daniels did an excellent job last year acquiring Diekman and Dyson down the stretch and it looks like he might have to pull off something similar this season.

It's ironic that former 1st overall draft pick flame out Matt Bush could end up being a key set up man for Tejas as the year progresses.    He's got the velocity and so far has been solid in the few appearances he's made.

Machado, until moving to shortstop to take Hardy's spot, was looking like the perfect eventual 3B heir to Brooks Robinson (great with glove and bat).

Doug DeCinces had so much pressure by immediately replacing Robinson in the mid 1970s.   Finally, once he came back here (growing up in SoCal) after 1981, he settled in and was a key player for the Halos from 1982-1987.

I don't remember the numbers exactly but I recall reading how it took one guy (DeCinces), to replace Robinson, giving them 6 years of 116 OPS+ work at 3B, only to be ushered out of town with somewhat of a failure tag on him...  It then took them 7 years and 14 different people before Craig Worthington (90 OPS+) gave them any semblance of stability again at 3B in 1989/90 and in reality it wasn't until 1996 with Cal Ripken that they finally had a legit everyday 3B.

Its interesting that DeCinces time as an Angel is seen as his best work and yet his overall 117 OPS+ As an Angel is right in line with what he did for the Orioles after taking over full time for Robinson.  Replacing a legend is just ugly...
