Libertarians just can't accept that Ayn Rand who was an opponent of the welfare state did indeed collect SS despite her railing against social programs!  Federal records obtained through a Freedom of Information act request confirm the Social Security benefits. She was a hypocrite that pushed the notion that government shouldn't help people. Of course when she needed help from the government she gladly took it.

 

Didn't Rand write that accepting any government controls is delivering oneself into gradual enslavement? I believe she referred to those people as moochers and looters! lol

this is really poor logic. The reason of the argument is what is important, not who is giving it.
