Shower water filters

Our upstairs water pressure is just adequate but it would be nice to filter all the chlorine and sediments out if it could handle it. I've been tempted for years to put in a water softener because of scale.

We use a water softening system for the entire house. The water from the city is very hard and alkaline.

Im talking about the $20 - $80 device that goes between the pipe and shower head, that filters everything

Yeah, I was looking them up and I guess the best to use is the vitamin C filter because hot water and flow rates blow past most filtration for anything but basic chlorine. I have no personal experience and would also like to find someone that does.
