Gameday Thread: Angels vs. Giants - THE FIRST SPRING TRAINING GAME OF 2016

Recommended Posts

Thoughts:

1) Hector looked good in first start

2) Shoemaker did limit the damage and settled in after the Gillaspie HR

3) Mahle looked good. Rasmussen stumbled a little but also has some promise

4) Choi reminds me of Kendrys Morales at a long distance

5) Liked Cron getting it down the RF line, that will be important if he can maintain it

6) Perez looked good on both sides of the ball

7) Liked the way Gentry worked that count earlier in the game

8) Considering this was mostly the back up team of the back up team of the main team not too bad

Thanks. Bummer outcome today, but really glad to see Angels baseball again!

Suddenly, the grass is greener, & the sky is bluer!!!!!

Life rocks again!

Agreed! I really do not take W/L's seriously in spring training. I just want to see successes, growth and there's nothing more exciting than watching a few players battle it out for a few spots.

Sometimes people put waaay to much importance on a spring training game. I don't get it.

this same question is asked every ST. Pay no attention to the MLB Gameday pitch counts during spring. They don't really update it and it's basically only one pitch per AB.

Other Gameday's were reporting all pitches.  That's why I asked.   :D
