might as well hope for the best with him.  by most accounts last year was just really tough for him, did not really have much of a chance to succeed.  Still baffling that they were so all in on him.

Did it come out that he falsified all of his documents and he's actually Rick Sanchez of Dimension C-132?

It doesn't bode well that he wasn't talented enough to step in at high A as a 21yo and do well regardless of all the adjustments he needed to make.  

 

But at least there is enough to still give him the benefit of the doubt for now.  It's clear he's got some talent.  Our scouts had to have seen something and it was likely while he was in a comfortable situation so it bodes well that if he's adjusted going forward we will get his best sooner than later.  

 

He's clearly more of a project than expected though.  

 

I like that he came to camp ready to go and the halos saw this immediately putting him into big league camp.

Would be a huge boost if he grows into an above average prospect. Could factor into 3B or 2B plans in near future, or with Simmons now aboard, turn into a trade piece we could actually afford to spare.

Sounds like Baldoquin's problem was that when he arrived he was the only guy in the organization who spoke Spanish and didn't have a college education.
