Growing up in very liberal northern California, I somehow survived with my conservative views in high school and was never bullied or suffered consequences. Maybe my experience was different I guess. Or the very early 2000's really were a different time but I highly doubt it. 

In the very early 2000s, their wasn't social media as it exists today. That's where most of the bullying takes place these days. Also, high school life experiences are a bit different than the real world.

My wife keeps her political beliefs private on facebook because she knows some people she has known her whole life would disown her, which is really unfortunate. Her "friends" would label her racist, homophobic, bigoted etc etc even though she's definitely none of those things. It's the political climate we live in now. And by the way, this is a one way issue. Conservatives may call lefties SJWs and snowflakes, but that's about the extent of their "bullying".

Very true. I experienced some in college as well but again I never felt bullied or looked down if an extreme lib and I had differing viewpoints. That's just my experience though. 

One thing I've learned from living in a very blue state (California) and a very red state (Utah) is both libs and cons live in dichotomy worlds. The other side is always wrong and we're always right. They can't see that both sides are sometimes wrong and sometimes right.

That's messed up. I have close friends on complete opposite ends of the political spectrum, I can't understand how some people are so grounded in their views that they think anyone who believes different are automatically bad people, and should be treated as such.

Sigh...do you read past the headline of any of those (note, i'm not reading a fucking 27 page PDF, seriously?)? Maybe 2 are legit, in which case the people are assholes. That first one the guy in charlottesville was apparently hitting another guy in the head with a flashlight.

Read more than a damn headline dude...the point is that the bullying is far more prevalent coming from the left, and its not close.

Also, high school students do that all the time. Turn their backs, pull out newspapers, chant "blah, blah ,blah", etc. They're 15-17 year old kids.
