200K is not that much in SoCal. It is healthy living but things can go sideways in life very fast and that 200K+/yr can be gone. It is an incredibly low and arbitrary number. How much is a family earning something like $350K going to get hit by the Bern tax?

$200k goes really fast in So Cal. 35% in income taxes. Very high utilities. If you're smart you're putting away 10-15% in retirement. Housing costs are high. High insurance rates.
