Challenger Disaster 30 Years Ago Today... Where Were You?

I was in my first period class as a senior at Valencia High School.

 

They had a TV on CNN all day in the library. I had to see it for myself during lunch.

 

I remember having a similar feeling 15 1/2 years later, on 9/11.

I was 15 years old and stayed at home that day, I think I was sick or just sick of school and pretended to be sick.

 

My mom called me to the living room to watch the launch, then the disaster happened live right before my eyes. 

 

That was the first time that I seen a live death(s). Was pretty shocked and felt awful for the families.

If they did in fact have time to turn switches, as in they were alive after the explosion, i cant even imagine how acary it would be

When Challenger exploded I was in class. I don't remember much.

I do remember my parents taking me to Edwards to see Discovery land. It was the first flight after Challenger. Probably the first time I understood patriotism.

Let's not forget, Columbia was 13 years ago yesterday.
