CJ doesn't appear to me to be the guy that is all about one more payday or about chasing the money. If he wants to win a World Series he would probably accept a trade to a team that has the feel of a World Series team.

He is 3 years older (age 35) than he was for his successful 2013 season. However, that season also came after similar elbow bone spurs surgery.

Of course moving to a team that has the feel of a World Series team would potentially help him reach a better payday.

I vehemently disagree with this line of thought as Wilson had a chance to reach a World Series last year. Don't forget he brought up his health concerns in Spring Training and then approached Bill Stoneman a couple of weeks before the trade deadline to let management know that his arm/elbow wasn't doing well.

Wilson has a lot of roots (including a new child) in CA and even his own teammates were off-the-record (per Alden Gonzalez) stating that he gave up on the team. The last part is telling to me because it hints that Wilson wasn't as injured as he made out in public.

However what's done is done. You can't go back and change the past and we have to deal with his contract. At this point his value isn't as strong and we'd likely have to eat at least $5MM to move him (and probably more to get something back in return) so keeping him and throwing him out in the rotation is probably the best choice.
