Look over there!  Once again people will always be able to point out gaps and nuance in every plan.  The fact is gun control works everywhere in the world and yet here everyone claims it wont.  The other fact is this is the only first world country with a third world murder rate.  You guys continue to make excuses, I will continue to champion ways to help it.

Yes except for all those gaps and nuances you have a great plan. And its really surprising that we have a third world murder rate when we subjugate entire classes of people in this country to third world status.  Perhaps if everyone in my state actually had clean running water and other basic life necessities available to them that even many third world nations have the murder rate wouldn't be so high. But please continue to champion the cause. I'll sleep better each night because of it.

Nice hyperbole, we don't subject anyone to third world status except for maybe Muslims.  And if you don't think that England, France, Ireland, Norway, Finland, etc don't have ghettos and a lower class then you haven't been paying attention.

Don't we have a reasonable expectation of privacy in our own homes? Why should the government have the right to tell me how to store my personal belongings in my house? Now I am for holding parents accountable if their own kid gets a hold of their gun.

I personally invite you to come down here to a res then.  It should be eye opening.

Lol, nice.

This is the mentality that floors me.  I want a gun, I don't want any responsibility tied with owning a deadly weapon!

I suppose you fully support BLM then right?  Because it is the same logic they use, they aren't responsible for being thugs and idiots because the government subjugated them to slavery!

I would think that Native Americans can do a lot to fix their issues but instead they are focused on opening more casinos and making more money.

I suppose Flint Michigan didn't happen either...

Look over there!

Again, that is an exception, not the rule.  And believe it or not, even in first world countries, infrastructure fails, things like this happen.

You guys really are fucking hilarious.

When cars are being stolen and used as murder weapons dozens of times a day then get back to me.

But my car has an immobilizer that stops the vehicle from working without the key being inserted.

Things like this happen...   How many atrocities in history have been explained away by such statements. It's funny how it rarely happens to white people...

Judging by the protests around the country it's a pretty damn large exception.

Because white people manage themselves better?  Who do you blame in Flint?  The local government, the state government?  Why didn't the people of Flint do more to prevent this?

Things like this happen doesn't mean we shouldn't try to prevent it by the way.  I was just pointing out that it isn't a qualification for the third world.

I don't fully support any organization that is comprised of people since it will always have flaws. And the name is a bit ambiguous. But yeah as composite movement, I support them fully.

You do realize the corruption between the corporations (including Trump) that build the casinos and that "tribal leadership". The casinos are a scam and only serve to increase the misery of the majority.  A bunch of corporate money comes in and makes a few people rich and gives minimum wage jobs to everyone else.

Yes the tribes have a lot of fault. We're people. That's what we do. But it sure doesn't help being rounded up and dumped in the New Mexican desert.

Thomas, the Native Americans got screwed more than anyone by the U.S.  I live close to a res.  It is sad going through there.  Beautiful land on the Missouri River but the towns are super bad.

What do you think can be done to fix this?  Or is it just too late?

All the normal buzz words. Better living conditions including clean running water. Yes surprisingly in a state like New Mexico it's a big deal.  Thanks Texas...

Jobs. Education. Better health care, especially mental to help to curb the rampant suicidal rates and alcoholism.  Yes living in absolute poverty and squalor with no hope of improvement while others in the same country live an entirely different life has an affect on morale. Somehow convince those some of more productive members to stay and help build and not run at first chance. Better organization for seek out equal representation from the political bodies.

Realistically though, not much. I could do a lot more but that side of my life has always been taboo since my dad skipped out almost immediately.
