Official Guns Thread

Recommended Posts

In Wisconsin you can get drunk and threaten your kids and girlfriend with a gun and shooting it in the air and it is only a misdemeanor.

You even get to keep your guns.

Few years back they tried to change it to a felony which would mean more jail time and not getting to own a gun any longer but the NRA shut it down by way of big donations to state officials.

We cite stats from the entire city of Chicago but I imagine you could just carve out a couple of 5 square mile areas and get nearly the same numbers. As long as it's localized in these areas nobody is going to give a fat rat's ass about fixing it.

Yup. Milwaukee is the same way

Should I find an article about a teeanger drinking and use it as the reason there should be no drinking age limit?

You could use it as a reason to promote the reinstatement of prohibition.

But please post it in the Alcohol/Cars thread.

Meanwhile in Chicago.

Antonio Perkins, 28, was taking his friends through a quiet evening in his neighborhood in Chicago on Wednesday, using Facebook to broadcast video live, when, suddenly, gunshots were heard. The camera fell to the ground, first showing grass, then darkness. But the audio continued. Screams followed: “Oh, my God!” “Call the police!” “Tony! No!”

they should at least make the guy spend the weekend in Chicago

Years ago, when I was collecting information for a study on prison community work crews, I spoke with an official with the Illinois Department of Corrections. He said that they had only had one escape from their program. It was a white inmate who found himself on the south side of Chicago. He went into a phone booth, called the DOC and told them to come and get him.
