And this is what will continue to keep isis around. Though the saudis arent fans of them, nor are the people under the isis curtain, the sunnis in the region still see them as a better option than the shiites. Iraq is such a strategic piece becausw of it.

Bush's cabinet had no clue just how badly of a mistake they were making...and the worlds going to be dealing with the fallout fr decades, if not generations unfortunately.

looks like Saudi's minions are dutifully lining up behind the master.  UAE reducing its diplomatic mission, Sudan and Bahrain severing ties entirely with Iran.

 

I think the greatest misunderstanding in the US regarding the unrest in the middle east is ignorance of what is essentially a cold war esque struggle for dominance between Iran and Saudi Arabia.  The conflict fuels nearly every fire in the region.

yep, very true. Sunni vs shia is the big one, but those two countries are the power behind it.
