Christmas bonus

ours is pretty simple - school gives us $50 and our parent organization gives us double that. my wife's cousin used to get trips to hawaii or england.

My bonus comes on April 1. Usually a full month salary.

No we don't get Christmas bonuses. We have multiple parties in December and each December they give us gifts, they are very cool INO inspired gifts. I'm compensated well all year but December is kind of a hectic month for us. Volume of business is through the roof, also finishing up end of the year evaluations and planning meetings for the following year. It's also the time of the year where we can't take vacation. With all that being said its my favorite time of the year to work.

i got a few gift cards from the kids. i have about $75 from target and a starbucks card i'll give to my wife since i don't drink coffee. gift cards from the kids are nice. i'll probably convert them to iTunes cards.

I got my bonus Friday - about 1.5 months' pay. Cashed the check yesterday. Giving notice tomorrow and starting at a new firm the 4th.

I get quarterly profit payouts and a Christmas bonus. Usually about $2K for Christmas. Cash

The only thing that I have ever gotten even approaching a bonus is when a hospital where I once worked gave us a free turkey around the holidays.

Once when I was working night shift at the prison, the warden decided to do a holiday dinner for the employees. We were specifically told not to bring any food that night, because meals were being provided. The problem was that they delivered the food for the night shift before the swing shift left, and they took almost all of it. By the time I went down to get my meal, there was a pan of green beans. about half a pan of biscuits, and everything else was gone. They provided another meal for us a couple of weeks later, but it wasn't nearly as good as the one that was taken from us.

^ have been there man, lol. Both as the swing shift guy and the graveyard guy. Our association gets us dinner at dennys now. Obviously not a big deal, but its kind of nice when you get a few buddies together. Problem is its usually only 2 at a time. Would be cool if we can all sit together

We get quarterly bonuses, but we get the December one early for gifts and stuff. My boss is a great dude who has questionable managing skills but he's a good dude who really means well and takes care of his customers/workers

ha, the first fanjets i went to in arizona was like that. i got there about 90 minutes late for dinner, and all that was left was a little bit of salad and just a few noodles. didn't get my money's worth that night.

bonus...that's funny...large companies don't give Christmas bonuses...hell, we laid people off a few weeks ago.

We had a good year. We gave everyone at least 3 weeks pay as a bonus

The In-N-Out truck rolled up a couple weeks ago and we got a free burger.

 

Also, we normally get like a ~$400-$500 year end bonus; it's always a surprise and we usually get it end of Dec/Jan/Feb.  It's always a mystery.  We don't know if and when.

Sounds like ours. We're having a pot luck on Wednesday, but the agency isn't providing anything.
