Ugh. If I have to hear more "even year" bullshit, I'm going to go to a Marlins game and punch Bonds in the face

Hmmm....

Did you know that the Giants win their World Series on even years and the next season, 2016, is an even year?

I don't the the Dodgers had any intention of going huge into the free agent market this year.  I think they would have taken Greinke back, but that's about it.

There was going to be a transition for them where they stop spending like drunken sailors on leave when they felt their prospects were ready to contribute.

The problem they are running into now is that a player that was a huge asset has now become a liability in Puig.  Trade him and you won't get what he could be worth.  Keep him and mess with your team chemistry.

If they, however, want to trade us Jose Peraza and Scott Van Slyke for CJ Wilson, then we'd be happy to oblige.

SF Giants bolster their weak spot -- starting pitching -- they're going to have a fairly good rotation now.

strong infield, decent starting pitching, pretty good pen -- and one slight weak spot in LF now for them........not bad.

Dodgers need to make a move to catch up

Speaking of that -- what's the word on Kendrick? He hasn't signed anywhere yet has he? Any bites yet?

He was having a good first half and a good  2015 season until he got hurt.......

You think the Dodgers are regretting that Heaney for Howie deal?

The Dodgers are caught in the middle, they're not making the moves to compete with the Cubs, SF, St. Louis or the Pirates, and they aren't rebuilding aggressively.

The Angels didn't seem to have a problem not getting value out of Appier by releasing him. Nor Guillen that had another year on his contract. Nor Matthews that they basically gave to the Mets paying nearly all of the $23 million owed. Then there is Wells, another bucket of balls and salary payout and the worst id Hamilton. That's a damn lot of money to get the cancer removed over and over. I guess the Dodgers prefer the disease.
