Predict Where they sign

Ok, just to create a little bit of discussion on here lets predict where each of the top eight will go.

Cespedes- Mets

Heyward- Yankees

Upton- Angels

Zobrist- Royals

Davis- Baltimore

Price- Cubs

Grienke- Giants

Cueto- Yankees

If you would like to add your predictions to other players that are out there go for it. There are still fascinating players besides those guys, like Zimmerman, Fowler, Aoki, Chris Davis

Don't think Cespedes signs with the Mets but otherwise, it's as good a list, probably better, than most....check out the prediction lists from ESPN, Fox or MLB TradeRumors from last year and your batting average will probably be better than the media types....

Would you say that with the Yankees short porch that it would actually decrease his defensive value? Or is it one of those outfields that plays deep in the gaps?

RCF is a solid distance from the plate (385?).

It's straight away RF that benefits lefty hitters tremendously.

Heyward would also clean up in Fenway 9-10 times a year, being a guy who will hit the ball to LF as well and hit triples to the deep CF there (420).

In a normal situation you might be right about their interest but the Yankees only have one right handed power hitter and that is A-Rod. Justin Upton seems a much more likely target for the Yankees in my opinion.

Cubs have a low payroll. That + 2015 success + tv contract = money available for Price and/or Grienke.

Exactly. They have money to spend, and Theo knows they are close.

They also witnessed first hand what a solid rotation can do in the post season

They also witnessed first hand what a solid rotation can do in the past season

They won 98 games with what they had, plus they knocked the Cardinals out of the playoffs. Add those two to that rotation, and wow.
