Governors of 4 U.S. states say no to admitting Syrian refugees

What Would Jesus Do?

He would probably tell the Syrians to stay in Syria and help fix the problems of the Syrians as a moral obligation  He would tell ISIS to stop with their shenanigans.  And then ISIS would blow him to bits because he's Christian.  Actually, they would blow him up before he could tell anybody to do anything.

It's  nice to know that the governors can't actually stop refugees from entering their states...but it makes for good press for those they want to impress.

Funny stuff...Texas lawmaker is worried about refugees...because their gun laws would allow them to arm themselves immediately, and also blow up planes apparently.

We are the biggest bunch of ****ing pussies.

Stated goal of Daesh is to create a religious war..."get rid of the gray area". The gray area defined as Muslims who don't buy in to the jihad. So by all means, let's do the job for them.

There are concerns, absolutely...and the US along with other countries needs to figure out how to maintain security while figuring out how to deal with refugees...but this idea that we simply reject everyone because of fear. Sigh. Please don't throw me in the briar patch...please.

It's a perfect opportunity for politicians to have it both ways.

They can claim they tried to keep out the refugees but couldn't.  They'll have public opinion on their side.

Then you have the governor of CA who just says, "send them over!"

Build a high-speed rail from the port of entry straight to the welfare office.

They'll have to get in line behind all of the white people

Countering that hard line, Brown said in a statement that the United States should continue to be a haven to the oppressed. But he also stressed the need for vigilance.

“I intend to work closely with the President so that he can both uphold America’s traditional role as a place of asylum, but also ensure that anyone seeking refuge in America is fully vetted in a sophisticated and utterly reliable way,” Brown said in response to a query from the Bee. “You can be sure that we will do everything in our power to protect the people of our state.”
