For those wondering...here is the process refugees go through

http://www.economist...nd-war-yearning

Refugees apply for resettlement at American embassies or through the United Nations. If they pass that first hurdle, they are screened by outposts of the Department of State all over the world. They undergo investigations of their biography and identity; FBI biometric checks of their fingerprints and photographs; in-person interviews by Department of Homeland Security officers; medical screenings as well as investigations by the National Counter-terrorism Centre and by American and international intelligence agencies. The process may take as long as three years, sometimes longer. No other person entering America is subjected to such a level of scrutiny.

Q: What kind of screenings do refugees go through?

A: Refugees from all countries receive “the most rigorous screening and security vetting of any category of traveler to the United States,” a senior administration official told reporters Tuesday. That process includes biographic and biometric security checks – i.e. checking records and doing fingerprinting. The information collected is run through databases maintained by the National Counterterrorism Center, the Pentagon, and domestic and international law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Interpol. Law enforcement, the Pentagon and the intelligence community all vet information provided by and obtained about refugees to help make a determination about whether they will ultimately be allowed to come to the U.S.

Q: Any extra screening for Syrian refugees?

A: Yes. Syrian refugees go through an enhanced review process on top of that with extra national security checks. All Syrian refugees considered for resettlement in the U.S. are interviewed in person by specially trained staff, mostly in Amman and Istanbul, but also in Cairo and elsewhere. Refugees must also undergo health screenings and a cultural orientation before they arrive in the U.S.

Q: How long does it take?

A: The process usually takes between 18 to 24 months and generally begins with a referral from the U.N. refugee agency.

IMO, the problem with Syria is this.  Checking records.  There are no records in Syria to check.  US does not have relations with Syria from what I have read.  Same with domestic agencies.

With these refugees.  You are relying mostly on international forms of information.  FBI, Interpol, etc.  For instance, some of the terrorists in the Paris attacks were not on the terrorist watchlist.  Pretty much all information about Syrian citizens are a black hole.  I don't even know if fingerprints will help.  You can see if they match up with international databases.  But if they committed crimes in Syria, you may not have access to that information.  A majority of information needed to make an informed decision is just not available for Syrians.

You know.  I think I read an article on that site.  Mexico is going to put up a wall on the border because too many Mexicans are entering Mexico than leaving it.

More Mexican Immigrants Leaving U.S. Than Entering, Report Finds

  • 7 months later...

The French government apparently suppressed news of gruesome torture the ISIS killers inflicted on their victims on the second floor of the Bataclan club. A committee heard hearings in March and results are online.

Warning: disturbing descriptions of torture and maiming.

Europe has serious fucking problems.  If the general population turns on the Muslim population it's going to be chaos.  Same reason Merkel tried to hide the fact that thousands of women were sexually assaulted by Muslims on NYE all over Germany.

There's simply too many of them there already to try to get rid of them, and if the rest of the general population finds out what kind of animals they truly are, at some point people will start taking shit into their own hands.

And continental Europe without doner kebab would also suck, so it's lose-lose any way you look at it.

Europe is fucked right now because of all the refugees. Talk about going in the wrong direction, it's mind-boggling.

The whole fucking world is becoming unglued because of this ISIS shit.

Merkel admits her refugee policy helped bring terrorists to Germany

Angela Merkel has admitted that she effectively invited terrorists into Germany, in a pretty stunning indictment of her own policy.

The German Chancellor told a group of supporters from her Christian Democrats party that extremists had taken their chance to slip into her country.

Tensions in Germany have soared since Merkel opened the door to Middle Eastern and African migrants seeking a better life in Europe.

Little scrutiny was applied to more than a million new entrants.
