Sorry to inform you of this, but I don't think anything that gets said here opens or "shuts down" an idea to help the team win.  You have to kind of think of us as the toy that comes in a box of Cracker Jacks, it's something that's amusing for a moment, then you toss it in a waste can.

Yes I would but our definition of a discount are probably different. Two years max at around $20 million. Just a hunch he won't take that.

Like Colon, Lackey will probally pitch well into his 40s.

He's still throwing 93mph.

 

Trade Santiago, sign Lackey.

I'd bet 100$ that Lackey will still be pitching in MLB after CJ & Weaver retire.

I don't like the way he stomps his hooves around and whinnies when guys make errors, and at his age he's apt to spend a lot of time at the vet.

Been there done that. There are younger names available that can be here longer term.
