Politico Admits Fabricating A Hit Piece On Ben Carson

NrM

Should we hit up poozy for fabricating that Politico admits they fabricated the Carson story?

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/barry-bennett-kyle-cheney-politico-retraction

“That is not accurate. It was not a retraction. We updated the story – and clearly labeled that we did so – to reflect Carson’s on the record statement to the New York Times and other new details as they emerged through the day. That’s how we handle big news stories,” Edmonds said in an email to TPM.

Politico, in general, is a noxious website that contributes to the dumbing down of the political process, a website that is geared towards covering nothing but the horse race and posting political click bait porn.

I said you didn't really care.

You aren't going to get bothered by this because dude doesn't see things the way you do.

It's true that I have selective apathy and outrage, but don't we all?  And yes, I don't care for Carson as a candidate.  That doesn't excuse the BS that Politico did in any way, but again, because I don't care for him as a candidate I can't muster up too much outrage.  If that makes me a bad person, so be it.

Oh, Glen...there are plenty of other reasons why you are a bad person...

Let me know when poozy is a news source that much of the rest of the media uses to forward stories.

It's the Internet...we are all news sources....

Carson was never supposed to get this far, he was supposed to dip his toe in to a few debates, gather some names for his direct mail marketing, and drift off in to the grifter game. I wonder what Republican group is pushing these stories. They must be worried that he's sucking up a lot of the oxygen...at this point it was supposed to be the big boys starting to line up.

There are no big boys.

Unless you count Christie.

At what point does dude's weight become a red flag. I've been a fat guy most of my life, but at some point you just gotta do it and get fit. That he hasn't would be a concern if I were a republican

CAIRO (AP) — Two weeks of new thermal scanning in Egypt's Giza pyramids have identified anomalies in the 4,500 year-old burial structures, including a major one in the largest pyramid, the Antiquities Ministry announced Monday.

Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el-Damaty and technical experts working on the project showed the higher temperature being detected in three specific adjacent stones at the bottom of the pyramid in a live thermal camera presentation to journalists.

Here are the only verses in the Bible about Joseph collecting grains:

I really hope Carson was joking because what he said is crazy.

46 Joseph was thirty years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from Pharaoh’s presence and traveled throughout Egypt. 47 During the seven years of abundance the land produced plentifully.48 Joseph collected all the food produced in those seven years of abundance in Egypt and stored it in the cities. In each city he put the food grown in the fields surrounding it. 49 Joseph stored up huge quantities of grain, like the sand of the sea; it was so much that he stopped keeping records because it was beyond measure.

Actually the only thing missing from that paragraph is the part about actually storing the grain in pyramids but everything else fits.

Joseph, Pharaoh, Egypt, grain

So they never, ever stored grain in a pyramid?

That is just stupid crazy.  When scripture is used incorrectly it is almost always because folks read more into the text than what is really there.

In this case there is absolutely nothing there.  I guess some folks just have their crazy theories.

Like Clinton believing she will be a great president, or how Trump thinks his hair looks good.

wow MT flashing his dogma

I'll bet they stored lots of stuff in the Pyramids.  Probably mostly the Pharaoh's stuff but still.  What better place to store stuff?

But not in the Bible so...

As if anybody at Politico thinks there's a "grain" of truth in the Bible.

Is it really any crazier to believe what Carson does then it is for so many politicians to believe that sending the military to the middle-east is a good idea?

For me, one is harmless, the other will just end up killing people.  (now I think Carson believes both)

Not really, and the whole thing about grain in the pyramids is nothing more than a distraction.  It's the Kardashians for people who don't watch the Kardashians.
