Just another example of how any idiot can write an article and then act like it's meaningful. The statistics individually give information. Putting them together without understanding what makes an area a nice place to live, makes this person no more than an incompetent English major just trying to make a buck.

There is nothing small city about anything in the greater los Angeles area. It is plain retarded to consider this sprawling metropolis to have recognizable boundaries that separate one chunk of housing and industrial parks from another.

what notti said...to imply any city in the LA Basin is a small city is downright laughable. "LA" is a triangle that stretches from San Clemente to Thousand Oaks and out to San Bernadino

NJ has the highest property tax in the union, I can't imagine how any city there is enticing. It's quarterly, but still 7-10k a year for everyone. That's nuts.

Because it's hard to beat living in one of those great towns in West Virginia or East Kentucky.

Maybe if we had Disneyworld we could even be a better place to live than Florida. But since there 'study' doesn't factor in @ssholes per thousand we're at a disadvantage.

On the plus side, I've always liked San Luis Obispo. I go there once a year and really enjoy it. I've even thought it would be nice to live there.

 

Now I find out that would be unnecessary. I can just visit/live in Beaumont (right here in Rivco) and have a better life for it.    Bullsh#t.

It would appear the author never stepped foot in any of these cities and did his research by the numbers rather than by true quality of life. If there is anything to learn from this is sabermetrics is bullshit when not balanced with actual personal experience.
