GOP debate

Lindsay Graham had a pretty good showing in the kiddie table debate. He seems to be the most competent candidate out of the GOP lot. Funny guy, too.

The main debate is about to start (CNBC).

anyone else watching this tripe?

Most of what I am reading is the poor babies were grilled by the evil media lib empire.

My next job interview if I don't like the question I will just say what are you a ****ing lib?, I should get hired on the spot.

Im pretty even when it comes to being democrat or conservative and last night was a joke with the announcers. Those were such crap questions the way they were asked. Nothing like that was asked at the Democratic debate.

I didn't watch most of the debate...and from what I have read I'm probably better off not having done so. But I did catch some of it in the car. Ted Cruz was asked what I thought was a substantive question, and I think it's an important question, about the debt limit and just agreed upon budget deal. Any presidential candidate who doesn't understand the debt limit pretty much disqualifies themself from office...and I think it's important for people to know if a candidate is willing to burn down the full faith and credit of the US in order to try and get their way. This is not a gotcha question. Every candidate on that stage should have been given that question.

In response to this question Ted Cruz spent his entire time giving canned talking points about bogus questions and the evil maintstream media.

Chattering heads are saying Rubio and Cruz are setting themselves up as the two primary combatants left standing in the Thunderdome.

As I mentioned, I didn't watch the whole debate. I did read the Rubio vs. Bush squabble and it looks like Jeb! was once again pants on stage. You have to wonder if he'd quit if his mommy wasn't telling him to shut up and eat his vegetables.

Cruz ends up as the hard right/evangelical choice once you get rid of Trump, Carson, Huckabee, etc.

Rubio ends up as the establishment choice when Jeb! is finally put out of his misery and Kasich ends up in the JV debate because he can't get more than 1-2% in the polls

Fiorina hangs out long enough to continue auditioning for the number two slot.

Rubio/Fiorina. I think I just pissed myself.

Typical Republicans, don't talk about anything that directly affects the lives of average Americans. Instead spend all your time attacking the moderators and the media. Yeah that will help make Americans lives  better.

If only the repubs could be as brilliant, fair, and wonderful as the dems.

maybe bernie "free college for everyone!" sanders can help out.

Although Cruze is and idoit, the full faith and credit of the US is a joke and will inevitably burn down anyway. With trillions of dollars in unfunded liabilities rising higher by the day it's only a matter of time before we lose reserve currency status and the chickens come home to roost.

Some estimates of the unfunded liabilities go as high as $200 Trillion.

At some point the money they're printing will be almost worthless, and you'll need a truckload of cash to buy your groceries for the week.

The question was phrased as something like, "doesn't that mean you're not a good leader?" Almost every question ended with an insult.

I think Cruz graduated in the top of his class at Harvard and argued several cases in front of the Supreme Court. He was also a champion debater in college.
