"Great" TV Series that you Hate

the last couple years of dexter were tough to get through. friends just turned into a mess.

Whaaaat!? Last ep of s1 and first of s2 were the perfect culmination of everything house of cards is. They were great.

The second to last episode of True Detective season 2 was the best. Agree on Vince Vaughan, he was not right for that role but neither was the lesbian chick. I would definitely finish the series though.

Wife and I have discussed this a few times. She struggles with a lot of tv today because their is nobody to like, or root for. It's all built around the antihero. A show like The Americans, which I love, she can't watch. Who does she root for? The Russians spies? The adulterous American?

She couldn't get in to breaking bad for the same reason.

I can see her point, I guess if you are watching tv to taje a break from life for an hour or two you don't necessarily want to be hit over the head with what a dick everyone is.

They are all about the heroes.

Dexter fell apart.  I stuck around just to spot the long beach area film shoots.

 

I put Friends in the same category as Big Bang Theory.  I just never 'got' them.  I am pretty sure there wasn't much to get.

If she's willing to watch sci-fi, Marvel's Agents of Shield has some characters she could root for.  There's also those light comedy dramas like Bones and Castle.  These shows are not serious or heavy, just light entertainment.

Like said previously, one doesn't have time for all these shows.  My wife started watching the Americans, I was kinda neutral, but just didn't have time to watch.  I walked by one day, and one of the kids catches the parents 69-ing.  Of course the mom is pretty hot.  The barely have time for 69s in porn, let alone a cable show.  I wish I would have watched that show.

we're fans of castle. the daughter, alexis, actually came to my church to worship for several weeks in the summer of 2013. her family has adventist roots, and i think her mom is still an adventist. she was friendly and very approachable. mom was really nice, too.

24 was really popular for awhile there. I thought it was beyond stupid. 

The first couple of seasons were good, but after that, it went downhill.

Yeah, I also enjoyed that series.  This season is their last.
