Can you get the flu shot by hanging with people who just got it?

So they gave the flu shot to everyone in the office except for me and some other dude (we were out on meetings). 

 

If these other co-workers get the weakened version of the flu, and give it to me, is it essentially the same thing?

Nother never fails to deliver a quality thread. The answer is yes, of course you can get the flu shot by hanging out with other people who have had it. Much like the flu virus itself, the vaccine they inject is also airborne, however only if they laugh. Preferably to a racist joke.

Influenza vaccines are made with killed virus. You can't get flu by getting the shot or by being around anyone who has gotten one. Unlike the old days when they used live virus. My father was in the military and he was required to get flu shots every year. Got the flu almost every time.
