And the Cubs only sucked balls for 6 years to get there

The Cubs will probably move Castro in the off-season for pen help and farm system depth. 

 

They don't need to move Schwarber or Soler for pitching. They can go out and buy Price and others.

So in short, those 6-7 years of mega suck will now likely lead to many years of pretty damn good baseball in Chicago. Don't think there's another team in MLB with as many talented young hitters as the Cubs.

With Russell and Baez in the middle it'd make sense to move Castro. I'd welcome Castro at 2nd any day, him and Aybar would make for a entertaining middle infield

Yeah had a rough year at the plate this year and in 2013. He's still only 25 though (turns 26 in March) and has proven he's capable, he'd be an interesting target for us. Would fill a need at 2nd and if we still don't have a replacement for Aybar by the time he's done they could always experiment with moving Castro back.
