What do you guys think of the pitch trax on TBS.  

 

If you say that its accurate you are also saying umps are incompetent

One can be inaccurate without justifying the competence of the other.

There were two outs, pretty low chance of scoring and yet Maheney chooses to pinch hit and rely on his bullpen for 5 more innings. Let's put it another way, would you all have crucified Scioscia for pinch hitting for Lackey after he only pitched four innings?

Not if that pitcher gave up a 2 out RBI single to the pitcher followed by a 3 run bomb like Lackey. 4 runs after 4 innings during a elimination game should earn you a early shower.

Not enough overhead views to really make a judgement.  

 

But you really don't see too much complaining.  So I would think it's the pitch track that is off.

All playoffs long for the tbs broadcasts ive seen a lot of pitches outside called for strikes, according to the pitch trax.

From what I saw today only a few outside pitches from Lackey were called for a strike. I still cant determine whether its the umpire whos getting it wrong or if that pitch trax is really accurate.
