I read that she has had 2 surgeries on her wrist and might need a 3rd.  If that is true and she doesn't have medical insurance, $125k could be about what her hospital bills are.  I agree she is dumb and that her lawyer and herself should have approached this in a different manner but that sum of money isn't out of the question when you think of what hospitals/Dr.s  charge these days

This decision is an outrage! This woman's social life has been forever ruined by the reckless and dangerous actions of this 12 year old. $127K was a pittance for the damage that has been done here. Obviously none of you have endured the unspeakable horror of having difficulty holding an hors d'oeuvres plate.
