Absolutely not. Blanton's veteran experience is invaluable. Richards needs a few more years of seasoning before he earns a permanent slot in the rotation.

Once Weaver is ready to come back, I want Richards to replace someone in the rotation. Perhaps at that time, the pitcher that's struggling the most. 

 

I still believe in Blanton, but right now if Weaver came back, you'd have to boot Blanton from the rotation in favor of Richards. 

 

Blanton has been incredibly worse than what I expected, but I also know he's not this bad. He's slumping just like other pitchers in the league.

I don't consider salary when I establish preferences on who I'd like starting.  The majority of our payroll could ride the pine as far as I'm concerned if it means having the best, most productive nine on the field at any given time.

Does anyone know where I can find xboomx?  That guy spat some serious hate in my direction over my love for Richards.  I would like the opportunity to use "butt-dart" one more time.  The guy didn't seem to understand that it isn't a prediction, it's an educated projection based off my own experience in scouting.  And yes, it is only two solid starts and an awesome season debut in the pen, but I think even the most oblivious of fans can look at what Garrett Richards offers and admit, "Yeah, he's pretty good".
