This is the way Dipoto expected us to win games though -- great positoin players to put up crooked numbers and good defense to bail the pitching staff out. 

 

The early season funk with pitchers pitching badly, offense stranding runners and defenders making errors was painful to watch.

I think that's true Mike.  People forget that he's our fifth starter.
