The context is probably important here.  I don’t know enough about what the school was doing with the book.  A brief look at an overview of the book seems to have a main theme of letting children understand what is right and is wrong in terms of boundaries.  That is important and good, actually.

what will happen is they’ll get a fine for significantly less then the profits they’ve yielded and that will be the end of it.
