I posted a story about an Asian person being assaulted and @mtangelsfan brought up that Black on Asian crime is a problem. Why is that? Can't we agree that hate crimes are a problem regardless of who perpetrates them?

I get tired of the "whatabaoutism." Can't talk about the problem of gun violence because Black people shoot each other in Chicago. All of it is part of the same problem. Just because Black people perpetrate certain crimes doesn't exonerate the non-Black people who commit the same crimes.

Look at it as gang/drug related violence as opposed to an issue with black people then. Work on that issue and see what happens. I know it wasn’t popular but look at what happened to violent crime rates in the early 90’s when 3 strike laws were implemented. IMO violent people and gang members should be locked up. Let’s start there. Get asshats like Gascon to being back enhancements

Protesters from both the pro-life and pro-choice sides showed up at the Planned Parenthood in Highland Park a few hours ago.  They're still there.  This is just down the hill from where I live.

Because some people feel it should be a universal right or that it should be abolished everywhere, so protesting/supporting the issue here still has value, in theory.
