I don't think they could replace him on the ticket fast enough.  If Moore steps aside they likely lose the seat.

538 is pushing the the theory of Moore stepping out of the race and a write in strategy. Like I said, greedy. I even saw a theory of the current Senator stepping down and a special election (aka a do-over) taking place.

With a Republican Governor that is definitely possible.

There was discussion this weekend that they would try and push out the special election to give the Republicans time to run a more palatable candidate...but that was a little too transparent.

I'm not sure I see Moore dropping out, he's a true believer.

A write in strategy splits the vote, and probably assures the Democrat wins.

Not a lot of "good" options for Republicans, but when push comes to shove I don't think they really care as long as that seat stays in the red column.

Turns out Roy Moore and a good number of us spent the eighties doing the same thing.

Trolling the mall and high schools for chicks!

http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2017/11/gadsden_residents_say_moores_b.html

"He would go and flirt with all the young girls," he said. "It'd seem like every Friday or Saturday night (you'd see him) walking around the mall, like the kids did."

Jason Nelms, who now lives in Tennessee but grew up in nearby Southside, was a regular at the mall when he was a teenager.

He recalled being told by a mall employee that they kept watch for an older guy who was known to pick up younger girls.

Nelms said he was told later by a concession worker at the mall that it was Roy Moore.

Republicans like McConnell are suggesting that...Jeff Sessions should run as the write in candidate for the seat opened by the appointment of...Jeff Sessions.

What are the odds if Jones wins Republicans try and block him being sworn in because voters didn’t ‘have a choice’?

That's some shady shit. Get Sessions reelected, then Trump will appointment someone who will end the Mueller investigation.

Draining the swamp.
