EV companies should be viable without .gov assistance just like most companies are.

Those industries shouldn’t be subsidized either. Corporate welfare isn’t the role of the government.

Electric vehicles help us stop relying on oil and help the environment.  If we are going to subsidize oil and the other auto manufacturers, a small tax cut for electric vehicles is definitely more appropriate than the others.

Meanwhile in the But Hillary files...

Donna Brazile alleges in her new book that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) signed a deal with Clinton's team to keep the party financially afloat.

In exchange, the Clinton campaign would control the DNC's "finances, strategy and all the money raised", she said.

She claimed the deal showed favouritism toward Mrs Clinton over Bernie Sanders.

Starting in August 2015, the Clinton team controlled the committee's "finances, strategy and all the money raised".

It had say over staff hiring and veto power over press releases and mailings.

Wasn't she the one who slipped Hillary the debate questions ahead of time? The DNC is a mess

This is being twisted a little bit.  The DNC was broke and Hillary bailed them out but asked for control.

The RNC establishment similarly banded together to stop Trump, they were just less competent.

We we should ban political parties and instead of electing a president we should have the house and senate do it.

More from the But Hillary files. Now Hillary's pit bull during her campaign, Elizabeth Warren, has pushed Hillary into the oncoming bus.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-41850798

CNN asked Senator Elizabeth Warren if Mrs Clinton's contest against Democratic rival Bernie Sanders was rigged, and she said: "Yes."

Ms Warren, who has been touted as a possible 2020 presidential contender, nevertheless called the Clinton revelations "a real problem" for the party.

"But what we've got to do as Democrats now, is we've got to hold this party accountable," she said.

I hope she realizes to hold the party accountable would mean she is included and is no longer an acceptable candidate for the 2020 election.

The US doesn't have the resources to keep up with demand, never will.

It doesn't help that the two biggest solar makers in America are bankrupt, and the Chinese are flooding the market with their cheap government sponsored product.

On one hand Trump did promise to save American jobs.  But now the libs can say he doesn't care about the environment, because he is increasing the price of clean energy.

What I supposed may happen, is that if there is demand enough, that the Chinese will do what the Japanese did in the 70's and 80's.  When the US puts tarrifs on car imports, they just start manufacturing in the US to get around the tarrifs.
