Im not defending the Taliban but to be objective.  The US has not stopped it’s operations during the talks.  So I’m not sure why we’d expect that the Taliban would stop its attacks.

Who cares if they take it back over?  We went over there because they helped with the 9/11 attacks.  We kicked their asses.  Our mistake was trying to nation build.  We should have left by year two.

There are reports that "numerous" U.S. Special Ops forces were killed today in a firefight in eastern Afghanistan, possibly by Afghan security forces they were training.
