Not one that could recruit like he did.  Was he a douche?  I think that goes without saying.  Did he recruit 4-star+ recruiting classes while players knew SC would be on sanctions?  Absolutely.  What other coach would come in knowing that the specter of sanctions loomed?  Recruiting sanctions have obviously had their effect.  I don't want to think about what SC would have had to overcome had they not had the quality of recruiting classes that he brought in.
