The Freese thumb injury doesn't look good on replay.

 

If he's out for an extended time, it's even more imperative to get another hitter. Featherston at third base doesn't cut it.

I think there'd be a chance if Kuby was struggling, but at this point Kuby's the more big-league ready of the pair.  

 

EDIT:  I take it back.  Kuby is struggling this month.  Only hitting .216 this month.  Maybe Cowart is on his way...
