When you go on the Ducks site, the first thing you're hit with is 5 new ticket plans. I wonder if they have a beat the streak plan in there.

Almost everyone had the Coyotes picked to be the worst team in the Western Conference and WTF HAPPENS ? The Ducks lose to them.

The Coyotes have the worst center depth, worst depth in general. They'll eventually come back down to earth soon.

It's like Getzlaf lost his talent overnight late in the Blackhawks series. What the hell is wrong with him?

Rakell goal tonight to take the lead. Yes I hype Rakell up but I'm confident in him cause he's Swedish & Swedes seem to have better odds of reaching close to their ceiling. Just look at Rakell & Lindholm vs Etem & Fowler.

gotta wonder, he does not look right.  Maybe he should have had that surgery in the off season for the sports hernia.  

 

At least they've managed to score a couple of goals tonight, but they still just look sloppy out there.  On our heels a lot of this 2nd period.  Not winning a lot of battles for pucks.  Winning right now, but its not really doing much to make me feel better about the team.

I must be the bad luck.  Thought the game started at 7:30.  Checked my phone, and we were up 2-1.  Didn't turn on the tv till 3rd period.  At least Santorelli scored and we got the empty netter.  

 

I don't think I'll be so gung ho to watch the games from start to finish anymore.  They do better when I am not.

Lindholm is even better.

Fowler's ceiling was originally a bit higher when they drafted him.

Lindholm had as many points last year while providing much superior defense at a younger age.

Wh... what?  Did you even watch the playoffs?  Lindholm and Beauch got burned over and over.  They are two totally different defenders too.  Fowler is fast, skilled and considered one of the best US defenders.

It's one hell of an exaggeration to say Lindholm got burned "over and over again" in the playoffs isn't it?

But I also have to say the notion that Swedes have better odds of reaching their potential pretty bizarre.

Good to finally get a win, even though it wasn't the most inspiring win.

Get the surgery now while the season is still young, Getz. He looks bad out there.

Happy to get the win as well, but still not too excited about the overall look of the team. They did not play well for long stretches. Still getting nothing out of the top line. If Getzlaf is hurt he needs to get over with and have the surgery.

They're built more for speed this season. I've noticed that too but it was to be expected.

On the Minnesota broadcast last night they were talking about how the new boards are much bouncier and the Ducks have been struggling to adjust when trying to dump it in.  That is hurting puck possession because they are dumping in and the opposition is easily getting to the puck first.  I definitely have noticed that.  I also have noticed some poor passes in the offensive zone and a huge lack of forecheck.

The Ducks' broadcasters mentioned the boards last game and I believe against Colorado as well. Gotta get used to them or puck possession is going to continue to struggle. 

 

The passing has been a little better...the first two or three games of the season, it was horrendous. So lazy and sloppy.

ive been thinking the last several days that the bit of a break before this road trip might be a good thing for the team.  Hopefully getting away from home lets them focus on gelling the team.
