This is basically what Shoe is. A pretty decent back end starter. Expecting him to replicate last year's numbers was absurd.

His overall numbers in 2013 was 3.04 ERA with a 121 ERA+, which I think is doable.

This isn't a superfan post its a real question. You guys ask who would go watch this team or who would even watch it on TV, yet you spend countless hours on this website, what's the difference? My time is much more valuable than my money, so I don't understand the logic.

25,000 fans is what they're saying but it's really 17,500 according to the Anaheim PD.

This.  I heard earlier in the day on the radio we were facing King Felix and thought, well do I really want to watch, I pretty much know the result the way this team is playing. Yet I'm still tuned in because you get to see a decent individual performace or two...Shoe had a pretty good game despite the 3 HRs and Joyce is capable of hitting baseballs other than when they're placed on a tee

The organization has been riding the coattails of the 2002 World Series win for over a decade.

 

They've done a good job at it, but honestly, a ring and a handful of playoff appearances since will only keep people coming through the turnstyles to watch terrible baseball for so long...
